Humanist ceremonies are non-religious in nature and do not contain any religious elements, such as hymns, prayers or religious readings. Humanist celebrants are authorised by the Registrar General for Scotland to conduct legal wedding ceremonies.  Celebrants, like Ministers, carry a personal licence, so your venue doesn't require to hold one. The Humanist Celebrant will work alongside the couple to make an individual ceremony to suit the couple.
